Collectors Friend Can Debt Collectors Call Me To Find Someone They Are Collecting From?

Can debt collectors call me to find someone they are collecting from? - collectors friend

Recently, I received a call from a debt collector who wants to know where my friend and asked me a message and called my friend again at 5:00 in the afternoon.

Can she do that? I have never borrowed money from the company and not even know that my friend had. How can they drag me into this?

Legally, they can not. Call them back and tell them you do not have are not obligated to pay the debt of his friend, they already know, but hopefully you can intimidate or say where is your phone number. . Also tell him you know that can not legally call or contact you for a debt not associated with ever, and please communicate with you .. Tell them that your friend has moved, and I have no idea where he is. There is nothing they can do for you but put you in the middle. We had the same situation with several collection agencies have come my stepson to raise funds. I told them what I wrote here, and never one of them again.

They have their names somewhere. Your friend could be your credit report,

Unless you signed not strictly a loan do not think they have the right to say something, but can not and will check with someone who is in default find. You are not obliged to deliver messages, and if you ask, I'm sure it's harassment.

He used his girlfriend to live with you? You can rely, but should not give you any information, ask the right person.

They will try everything. You are not obliged to respond.
